New stories

Dansens Hus is Norway’s national stage for dance — 150 performances a year working with both national and international dance companies.

BACKGROUND

We were commissioned to design a new visual identity and website for Dansens Hus, Norway’s national stage for dance. As a leading institution for contemporary dance, and as an important voice on the performing arts scene in Norway, the new visual presence was to reflect this.

Dansens Hus wanted to be perceived as a point of reference on contemporary dance and performing arts. A place where a lot is happening and stories are being told.

SOLUTION

As a foundational element for the new identity, we made a customized  typeface called Dia Dans – based on the font Dia from Schick-Toikka. This visual move unites all the different performances, and highlights Dansens Hus as a vibrant dance scene in Oslo.
